12 Year Old Entrepreneur

It all started when I was 12, in a small student town Leuven, Belgium. We didn’t have a lot when I was growing up. I wanted to do something to help bring in money, especially when I noticed the things that other kids in my school had that we didn’t. And so, at just 12 years old, I started my first business raising chickens and selling eggs door-to-door.

And so, at just 12 years old, I started my first business raising chickens and selling eggs door-to-door. 
This evolved by the time I was 14-15 years old into doing several paper routes and hiring all of my neighborhood and school friends to help me out with the weekly deliveries. 

Fierce Success Mindset

At the age of 19 I had a wildly successful event management company. We organized and promoted mostly disco parties and EDM raves. And while the business grew quickly, I didn’t learn how to manage my personal finances and I was broke by 20, still making a fair amount of money but somehow I found ways to spend more than I made. I had a fierce success mindset combined with the personal finance discipline of a 1980’s rock star.

Crushed By Recession

So looking back, I should have just spent less but at that time I thought the answer was to make more money so I started my own consulting company where I helped Fortune 500 companies and larger local businesses with strategy and training around marketing, sales, and business development. This company grew rapidly throughout the EU, until the recession of 2009 when everything started to crumble down and I ended up losing everything in addition to being over a million euros in debt.

Rather than being crushed by this event, I knew that I had to learn more about what it takes to not only grow a successful company but keep it stable under any market circumstances. As I had to start over anyway, I decided to focus on what I was truly passionate about and move away from big companies to start working with small and medium sized companies and start working with business owners directly; people that have a passion and a vision and help them implement the same systems I used within my companies and help them grow.

The combination of the small business and Fortune 500 companies experience put me in a unique position where I can help businesses like yours analyze where they are right now, come up with a strategy to go from where they are to where they want to be and help them implement what is needed to get to that point.

Implementing the systems I developed allowed me to work with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses while traveling 85 countries and doing over 1,500 keynote presentations on topics like entrepreneurship, business, sales, and marketing.

My greatest passion, today, is working with companies that still have that entrepreneurial “spark” that you find shining the brightest when they are bringing ideas to life and great products to market.
